Terms of Service

Emverity is an information and referral service. We help you compare the estimated cost of standard medical care with clinical research studies, and we connect interested patients with the research teams running those studies.

Emverity is not a health care provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing on this site creates a doctor–patient relationship. Always talk with your own doctor before starting, changing or stopping any treatment. In an emergency, call 911.

Emverity does not run clinical trials. Decisions about eligibility, enrollment, treatment and payment are made solely by the study teams, sponsors and research sites, under their own protocols and informed consent processes.

Match results are automated estimates based on the answers you provide and published study criteria. A 'likely' or 'possible' match is not a determination of eligibility — only the study team can decide whether you qualify, after their own screening and your informed consent.

Cost figures for standard care are estimates drawn from published reference data and your own inputs. Actual prices vary by provider, plan and location, and are not a quote or guarantee.

Study payment amounts, when shown, are set by each study's sponsor or site and may change. Payments may be taxable; consult a tax professional.

Investigational drugs, devices and procedures may not work and can involve risks or side effects. Some studies use a placebo. The study's informed consent form describes these risks — read it carefully before enrolling.

You must be 18 or older to use Emverity. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your sign-in credentials confidential.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the health and eligibility answers you provide. Inaccurate answers will produce inaccurate match results.

You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping, no attempting to access other users' information, no submitting false referrals, and no interfering with the operation of the site.

When you request a referral or apply to a study, you authorize us to share the information you provided with the research teams involved in that study, as described in our Privacy Policy.

A referral is not an enrollment, an appointment, or a promise of payment. The study team decides whether to contact and screen you.

Emverity may receive fees from sponsors or research sites for referrals. These fees do not change what you pay or what you are paid by a study.

Sponsor and partner accounts are subject to approval and to separate agreements covering study postings, payment information, referral fees and billing. Information posted must be accurate and kept up to date.

Sponsors and sites that receive patient information through Emverity must use it only to contact and screen the patient for the relevant study, and must handle it in accordance with applicable law, including HIPAA where it applies to them.

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emverity disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emverity and its officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or your participation in any clinical trial.

Emverity is not responsible for the acts, omissions, decisions or conduct of any study sponsor, research site, principal investigator, CRO or SMO.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
